Mental Health Awareness Month

This is a mental health awareness month. We are celebrating something that we never spoke about. Born in India, we were always taught not to show our feelings. In the west, we speak before we even think about how words or actions can hurt others. We need to stop judging others and look into our own lives. We need to pause and think. When we are angry we are not ourselves, and don’t realize how harmful our actions could be for others (family /society).

I think this is something an individual can work on, especially with our relationships among family, friends, and acquaintances. Specifically our relationship with the body, mind, and spirit.

Mental health very much affects our Physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Suppressing emotion, depression, and anger manifests many complications in our life. We all need to think and help each other when we feel down or way up to harmonize the feeling. We need to face it rather than avoid or ignore it. In life, we all feel vulnerable sometimes. Some have the strength to move on and some can’t pull ourselves up.

Let’s hold each others hands and move forward with hope, love and good health.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Love,
Rajashree
