Hello my friends. Happy Summer, I hope you are enjoying time with your family and relaxing. I’m still on my inner journey in life. As a yoga practitioner and teacher, I experience that we are not separate from nature. As one journeys into the heart, we recognize that it is not only the self that has suffered, rather that all beings have suffered some form of loss, sadness, or despair in their lifetime.
Yoga is everlasting life in the soul or spirit, and the path of yoga is an inner path whose gateway is our heart. The secret is hidden in our hearts and accessed through spirituality. Spirituality seeks to bring people together through the practice of meditation on the heart, and human values, such as love, and compassion. Spirituality is about living a happy life, (in the moment), and responding to situations rather than reacting to them.
I believe that when we connect with the universality of suffering, an internal transformation begins to happen, and we awaken self-compassion.
Self-compassion is a purposeful practice of cultivating and offering ourselves kindness and love, over and over again, most importantly in our darkest hours, which we have all witnessed. This is very challenging and requires a great deal of courage and perseverance. We must value ourselves and recognize our own potential. We must live it and be it. We are all spiritual beings and we have the ability to love unconditionally and this must be experienced.
True and lasting peace on earth begins with each one of us.
Love & Peace,
Rajashree
